compliance and data protection

The United Kingdom Data Protection Act 1998 took effect on 1st March 2000

The Act contains 8 ‘enforceable’ principles of good practice. All data relating to recruitment must be:
  • fairly and lawfully processed
  • processed for limited purposes
  • adequate, relevant and not excessive
  • accurate
  • not kept longer than necessary
  • processed in accordance with the data subject's rights
  • secure
  • not transferred to countries without adequate protection

If your current solution does not provide the following, specifically embedded in the technology:
  • Security of data capture, transmission & storage
  • Defined and communicated data usage within the recruitment process
  • Controlled access to information
  • Data retention and candidate rights

Then it is extremely unlikely that you comply with the Data Protection Act. Please contact us to find out more.
